A. The Giovanni White Line is a 15-product
range of professional standard hair care products including shampoos,
conditioners, repairing treatments, and styling and finishing products.
Q. What makes the Giovanni White Line
unique?
A. The Giovanni Rule of Balance. This
rule simply states: Make each product as pure and natural as humanly
possible without sacrificing exceptional product performance. This
rule is the reason we can provide you with the finest ingredients
AND performance, all in one product. We understand that ingredients
alone are not enough. If our products don't perform well, it won't
matter how natural they are.
Q. What are Ripe Harvested Certified
Organic Botanicals?
A. Ripe Harvested Certified Organic
Botanicals are included in all of Giovanni's unique product formulations.
Many of these botanicals are painstakingly harvested by hand at
their peak of freshness. Once harvested, our botanicals are slowly
cooled and then gently refrigerated until they are ready to be incorporated
into our unique formulations. This careful attention to detail is
your guarantee of total product satisfaction.
Q. What is meant by "Organic"?
A. Organic is the way our Ripe Harvested,
Certified Organic Botanicals are grown and processed. The term "organic"
on a label stands for the commitment to agriculture that has a low
impact on the environment. Organic production does not use toxic
chemical pesticides and fertilizers. Instead the system works to
replenish and maintain the fertility of the soil. No artificial
ingredients, preservatives, or irradiation is used in the processing
of our botanicals.

A. 50/50 BALANCED HAIR REMOISTUIZER
is right for your hair type. This conditioner puts moisture back
into the hair shaft and tames and softens thick coarse hair.
Q. In the Giovanni shampoos, what is the ingredient Sodium
C 12-14 Olefin Sulphonate?

A. No. Giovanni shampoos are very gentle
and are specifically formulated to clean the hair while not stripping
hair color.
Q. Are Giovanni Hair Care Products pH Balanced?
A. Yes
Q. I notice a slight alcohol smell in a Giovanni product
that is called MORE BODY? Why is alcohol in this product, and will
it dry my hair?
A. MORE BODY is a very unique product
that adds body to the hair. The small amount of alcohol in this
product simply opens up the hair shaft momentarily, so that the
vegetable protein and other nutrients actually penetrate the hair.
The alcohol then volatizes (evaporates) out of the hair. Many other
hair thickeners only coat the hair, and after a few weeks of use,
dulling and heavy build-up will occur. MORE BODY fuses into the
hair as it adds body and conditions fine hair. No build-up. Also,
MORE BODY seals in hair color.
Q. My hair is extremely dry and damaged what should I use?
A. Any Giovanni conditioners will improve
the situation greatly. However, Giovanni has a three-minute hair
reconstructor called NUTRAFIX. This product can be used continually,
every few days or in conjunction with Giovanni DIRECT or VITAPROFUSION.
Tip: For a creative approach to this problem, apply NUTRAFIX on
clean semi-wet hair and place a shower cap over it: Leave on for
15 minutes or for several hours, or overnight. Also heat can be
applied to NUTRAFIX via a hair dryer. Always rinse NUTRAFIX out
of hair.
Q. My hair is over processed (from coloring, bleaching, permanent
waving). What Giovanni product to use?
A. Again, any Giovanni conditioners
would be useful. Giovanni VITAPROFUSION will bring back the life
and elasticity (stretch) to the hair shaft, and will make the hair
shiny and manageable. This is a spray product that stays in the
hair. Tip: VITAPROFUSION fuses vitamins, herbs, and vegetable protein
into the hair shaft, and will detangle and add just enough body
to keep the hair very manageable.
Q. My hair and scalp are very oily, what Giovanni product
to use?
A. Use Giovanni GOLDEN WHEAT SHAMPOO.
GOLDEN WHEAT SHAMPOO is formulated with a small amount of menthol
that reduces oil form hair and scalp naturally and will not overstrip
the hair shaft. Many companies adjust the pH or use a chemical in
their products to reduce oil. This will often strip the hair of
nutrients and color. The use of menthol is a natural and safe alternative.
Q. My scalp gets itchy and flaky very
easily. Does Giovanni offer anything to help me?
A. We recommend Giovanni TEA TREE TRIPLE
TREAT SHAMPOO. This shampoo utilizes Tea Tree Oil, as a natural
skin antiseptic and moisturizer to alleviate dry flaking scalp associated
with scalp irritations.
